Unreported

Unreported, unedited, unsent.

This is raw stuff depicting how MPs, ministers and wakil rakyats dodge questions ever so unprofessionally. Let people see the shit often spewed at journalists but are never reported. lol.

Nazri tells press to do his job*

De facto Law Minister Nazri Aziz has told the press to find out which ministers have been absent in Parliament, rather than taking responsibility for it.

Nazri who is also Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department is in charge of Parliament.

Approached to comment on Parliamentary Opposition Leader Lim Kit Siang’s recent criticisms that too many cabinet ministers were missing for Dewan Rakyat session, Nazri said “He has a right to say whatever he wants.”

“You can go and find out which minister is absent and ask him why he has been missing,” he quipped with a cigar in his hand.

Pressed on as to whether there is a stipulation as to how many days a minister must be present, Nazri waved them off and repeated that the press can find out for themselves.

Lim has recently aired his displeasure over unsatisfactory answers from the ministers including Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi on the confusion figures surrounding the New Economic Policy (NEP), the Matrade building and the cost of the cancelled crooked bridge.

Last Wednesday, Lim fired vociferous questions Deputy Works Minister Yong Khoon Seng on new palace for the King that costs RM400 million.

Without any documents, Yong was left defeated and said a written answer will be submitted to Lim later.

Yong was evidently biting the bullet for the absent Works Minister S Samy Vellu during his ministry’s Budget 2007 debate.

(Editorialising it now which I’m not suppose to do in my story)

Nazri has been missing in Parliament since last week has once again, failed to give the government a defence against an allegation by the opposition party.

The question on absent ministers and their deputies was poorly received and was tossed aside without assurance that it would be looked into.

Nazri’s action on perpetuates the ignorance and arrogance of the ruling party which has been dished out to the public since the 57th Umno general assembly last week.
