squeak. speak. roar!

Last Christmas I was in London with the ex. We celebrated Christmas with a HK TV serial marathon after having a satisfying turkey dinner. I had a hand in cooking and I help make the stuffing. In fact, I found the recipe online itself - it was Gordon Ramsay’s. Didn’t get anything during the Boxing Day sales, I was still penny-pinching thinking I would spend my life savings on a killer holiday in Europe. The weather was cool and chilly. I still remember being clad in my coat and my furry boots. I also bought a fuzzy santa hat for £2 somewhere in Leicester Square.

But that was last year.

This year?

Getting serenaded by the one I love (omg! so sexy with the bass, balls). Being surprised with a pink Ipod Nano held by Nellie as I opened N’s wardrobe to pick a shirt as pyjamas (N’s cheeky like that). My parents meeting his. Rekindling my old passion for singing to people. Mom’s famous turkey dinner. Watching families getting together celebrating the joys of giving and receiving. And being surrounded by family and friends as the year draws to a close.

Thanks for all the wishes and presents! My greatest gift this year is knowing that life does get better when you let time take its course. And letting the right people walk into your life. The ’santa’ who gave me all that wore my £2 fuzzy ho-ho-ho hat at all times. lol.
