Muse rocked my socks off!

… and I am sitting here and all psyched out after attending the Muse concert in Stadium Negara, KL. OMFG, they kicked ass so hard, I believe in rock gods now. Each and every single one of them. And I worship them on my Ipod. Eli was great company and we got moshed the moment the concert started. Our tickets were for the Rock Zone and next thing we knew we were at least 10 rows from the stage where The Pitt is. But we ended up shifting to various places cos the crowd was pushing and tugging everyone! lol.

Wait, shower time :)

Back!

I arrived at 6pm. Gates opened at 7pm. Muse came on at 9pm. And we left a little before 11pm. My top was soaked in sweat when it was over and Eli’s pants were just wet. We were jumping, shouting, cheering and exerted enough energy that (according Eli) was like spending 3 hours in the gym.

Now I have concert-neck ache and arm-raising shoulder muscle pains. Massage!!! Now!

Anyway, back to the concert. Let’s break it down simply:

The crowd … was insane, I wasn’t. Also, most of them were in black, including me. Some had pink hair, mine was brown. They knew lyrics to all the words, I didn’t. They thoroughly enjoyed the show and that I did. A few were smoking joints even. What a familiar, distinctive smell. lol.

The band … was AMAZING. Considering the fact I haven’t really been to a rock concert before (summer festivals don’t count), getting moshed was alien to me. They played a few hits which I knew of which is namely their older stuff. The rest were still awesome and rock bands are cool, they need little interaction with the crowd to get them going. Pop ones are so different!

Shame I didn’t bring my camera. I didn’t want to risk it getting confiscated should the organisers try to be funny. But it’s alright. It’s all up here *points at head* :) Many thanks to Eli’s bro for the free tickets!! :)

Also, I bumped into Kay! How wicked to see my ex-supervisor from my glorious Starbucks days. I miss working with him :)

Nat came over to pick me and Eli up and we had makan in PJ with Tian. That was about an hour ago and I am glad for the shower because before that, I smelled like many many people. That was so gross. No wonder PAS condemns concerts, there is way too much body contact even for my liking and I’m not even the conservative kind! lol. It was an experience nonetheless and should anybody question whether I’d do it all over again - get The Killers, Nizlopi, Franz Ferdinand, Snow Patrol or Robbie and you bet I will. I heard Beastie Boys are coming over. Excitingnye :)

Bed time for me with rocking dreams I hope! :)

xx
