07.04.07 - another momentous date to note.
OMG. Big step for me, balls. I haven’t used my own name on blog since I was last in a blog war with some chick who harassed me over her boyfriend. I’ll save that story for another day. lol.

Have seen you earlier at Freelunch2020 but was slow to associate you with the tag line MalaysiaKini rising star reporter. Love the way a MalaysiaKini reporter nailed AlJazeera for giving her short shrift. Am sure you will nail many more powerful people/organization whenever they give us short shrift in the future. You are definitely a credit to NAB.

So now everyone knows the Pulau Tikus. Whats her name, how she look like, her interests in mango jeruk. We only see the chimp.
In the NAB line up, you are the only current journalist. So, that is a pretty heavy responsibility and expectation. Then again, you are also a law graduate and seasoned blogger, so must able to define the parameters of blogging within the context of the members ethics.
Just to share something here. Yesterday, I was with two cousins (one of the them is a MAMPU consultant and the other one, soon to be married into the PM’s ‘family’) and they were talking about blogs. One of them specifically mentioned ‘Big Dog’, few times and presented quotes from the writings into the conversation. I have the unbearable urge to proclaim, “Hey, I am that Big Dog, those are my writings you are talking about!” but alas, I just smiled and savour the moment. They went on and on to talk about Rocky, Jeff Ooi, Malaysia Today and RPK, AKJ, Sang Kelembai and MYKMU. I was laughing too hard, inside!
(They even talked about my scoops: The A319 CJ VIP jet and the Scomi’s associate Mitutoyo execs arrested in Tokyo last August)
I shall remain Biggum “Big Dog” Dogmansteinberg, for a little longer now. :)

anon, bernard, amir, lucia, sheih, dabido, shar, otak kosong, a voice, big dog, hasilox : honest speaking, it has been truly liberating to get my name out. no more needing to look behind my back and tread careful steps.
however, things are going to change! lol. i have now even more stringent rules and ethics to follow … i just hope i don’t screw up anything :) i guess i always have someone to always ask for an opinion *eyeballs nat*
