Nat says :D
I can’t sleep so I thought I’d blog.
The past 12 hours has been immensely traumatising for me. I’m not even sure where to begin.
As per my previous post, I found out about the arrest around 5.15pm. EK rang and I thought, okay at least he’s in Bukit Aman. I contacted Nat’s family and promised updates. Lat and Eli swung by my office later and we headed to Bukit Aman straightaway. Lat and Eli made inquiries to see whetehr Nat was being held there. I was already uncontrollable because images kept playing in my mind and I thought of how frail Nat is. The panic became overwhelming when the SB officer in charge said there was no such person by the name of Nathaniel Tan detained there. I broke down. Images and possibilities filled my mind - I was on the brink of hyperventilation.
Lat and Eli did most of the talking. I was meek and helpless because I had no idea what to do and how to think. Later, William and Tian arrived. I lodged a written report there but was later escorted to IPD Dang Wangi so they could key it in. Can you imagine that you can’t make police reports in Bukit Aman?! After I perfected the report, we took off for dinner. By then my phone had died and that added shitloads more to my frustration.
During dinner, Lat received a call from Nat’s dad who was told by the police officers that the investigating officer in charge of Nat’s case DSP Victor. After more calls, we found out Nat’s being held under the cyber crimes unit which is placed under commercial crimes. By then the crowd of supporters have already gathered at Bukit Aman. William brought Nat’s parents and I to the commercial crimes dept and everybody soon showed up. Super Lat then found out that Nat’s being detained in IPD Dang Wangi.
The entire convoy went and we negotiated for Nat’s parents and I under the pretext of fiancé went to see Nat in the lockup. It was a relief that Nat appeared well and good. He was smiling and appeared in good spirits. Clad in an orange lockup t-shirt and his trademark uncle pants, he briefed us about what happened and what the matter was all about. We also told him how everybody is concerned and the fact we were all kept in the dark as to what’s going on.
Nat says: “send my love and regards to all” :) :D
There are details about why he’s being arrest that I’m not quite prepared to divulge into those at the mo. Some people may have blogged about it but I don’t intend to make the situation any worse than it already is. Right now I’m not reporting anything, I’m not a journalist. I’m just a person who cares about Nat A LOT to a point that I can’t bloody type this out without crying or having my eyes going all blurry. I’ve never been so scared or worried in my life. Everybody’s telling me to be strong. How can I be when all this while the bastion of my strength came from Nat?
I should go to bed now. I’m blogging at Nat’s (residential, not current abode) and the only thing keeping me sane are the warm wishes from texts, phone calls and hugs from friends and family. Thank you everybody for the support. I promise I will try my best to keep you all updated. So far, Cheryl has done a fantastic job.
As for later (goodness, less than 12 hours) Nat will be meeting DSP Victor and a magistrate regarding his detention. The police will try to remand him for 14 days. We will be fighting for his release.
This is most certainly the worse week of the year. The pounding in my head just won’t stop.
Blog soon. G’night.

I commented at Eli’s blog, copied verbatim here:
“The “friendly” police force just showed us how “friendly” they can be. We are the laughing stocks of the world when it comes to human rights. What crime did Nat commit and what wrongs did the beloved family of Nat do to warrant such inhumane treatment from the people who are supposed to protect us? from the people who we voted year- in, year- out to big fat MP posts, to being Ministers and Deputy Minister, or even the PM or DPM? Petrol stations in JB are being robbed almost daily by thugs who crashed their stolen cars into the convenience shops. When they made police reports and showed the CCTV recordings, the inspectors would point the fingers to the pic and said, yes, this was the same guy who robbed days before. Yet, they did nothing simply because “kami tak cucup manpower ler….” Yet they have all the armoury to take action against someone like Nat. Friends, the time has come for all of us to demand for equality, for basic human right protection and for being recognised as a true blue, loyal and law abiding Malaysian. To Nat and his family and girlfriend, we stand by you, and we salute you for being strong in the face of extreme adversity.”
Bless you sis, may you be strong!

This will blow OSA wide open.
- How do you OSA a website?
- By providing a link(an unknown commentator) are you ‘in possesion’ of this alleged OSA ‘documents’(website)?
and we can find so many unethical and questionable practises of the Five-Os trying to deceive and making false impressions that led to Nat being denied his basic rights as a civilian in custody.
Make NOISE, ppl , we need LOTSA OF IT!
