Luna Bar.
The place was overrated :) Perhaps it was ’cause my friends and I were seated in the non-smoking area called Cristallo. lol. Next trip there, I’m gonna reserve seats by the pool or bar! :)
Anyway, everybody always blog about their ambiance bla bla which yes admittedly the location is nice but what about the food?! I’m proud to present some food pictures found in a place more known for its drinks. Plus, since they didn’t allow professional cameras, I got away with using my ciplak digital camera :)
I give you a quick review of Luna Bar.

The view from Luna Bar.

I know, lousy angle.

View from where I sat.

Cristallo.

White sangria.

Italian pizza with beef salami, pepperoni, black olives, portabella, fresh herbs and tomato sauce. Not bad. Perfect with heaps of tabasco.

Smoked salmon pizza with goats cheese, baby spinach Spanish onions, capers, and red pepper coulis. Oddly enough, it was a little disappointing because they had too many onions and not enough salmon.

The chef’s recommendation; Luna grill with barbeque beef ribs, grilled lamb chop, roast spring chicken, deep-fried prawn, sausage served with red onion jam and green salad. I personally don’t recommend it. lol. Chicken was dry, portion’s horribly small and the place was really too dark to see what we were eating.

The ladies. And Mas.

Decor by the corridor.

Another view from my seat.

Champagne-infused strawberries and melon salad , lime and lemon sorbet and golden sugar works. Sorbet was lovely but the berries were frozen and tasted like ice. Champagne-infused? I don’t think so.
We also tried the four cheese pizza; goats cheese, Greek feta cheese blue cheese, mozzarella served with fresh herbs and tomato sauce - it was pretty good. Zero nutrients though and the taste of the blue cheese was most dominant.
Conclusion, good to chill and be with good company. Please don’t bother thinking of having dinner there. The menu’s extremely limited and staff’s a little blur. They are very fussy with people taking pictures. No shorts and slippers allowed. Book in advance because a lot of the good seats are reserved!! Apparently it’s very exclusive, I have class issues so I think exclusivity is wrong. I am a closet communist after all :)
