Based on statistics obtained by the World Competitiveness Yearbook released by the Swiss-based IMD (one of the world’s leading business schools), Malaysia improved its rankings in government efficiency and world competitiveness last year compared with eight years ago from eighth to sixth.
Hmmm… We ranked better than Britain, Germany, Thailand, Spain, Japan, Russia, France and Singapore?
I will be happy if the statistic is accurate and representing the true picture… but I am doubtful…
Let’s see what are the parameters used to gauge the government efficiency…

An unfortunate incident last Friday gave me something to think about. One flash led to another, accumulating into an overdue epiphany of sorts- The People must take action to see changes.
