Recharge.

I’ve been extremely moody of late. Hence the nostalgic and directionless post ahead.

If I don’t answer your calls, I’m sorry because I really don’t want to. I am not Nat’s secretary so please don’t ask me for his number as his contact is readily available in his blog. Please don’t ask me for opposition leader numbers, I’m not an opposition phone directory. Please stop asking me about PKR or DAP or PAS rumours because I’m not a party worker. Please stop spamming me with your blog posts because if I want to read something, I’ll go to your blog.

Sure parties, rakyat, citizens of this beautiful country - you all matter and you still do. However, I’ve neglected somebody in the past few months and I have to make it up to her.

She is me! So full time work + blogging + Nat = elections. Live, breathe, think elections for a year and a half plus. I’m knackered.

Past few months have been so taxing in furious campaigning and work and the pinnacle of it all was when results were announced. Of course the achievements are not solely the work of mine alone but a wonderful collective work from you. Again, I salute you all.

While I thank those who cared and shared my joy, some of my close friends didn’t care and didn’t bother. I’m feeling a little left out in the cold. I think I need some warm hugs and good company :)

However, I’m glad to have received several comments on how my blog has inspired them and all I can say is pass it on - keep inspiring others, don’t let it stop at yourself! Updates will not be as regular and it may not be about politics as much. I thank all my readers and critics for their support since this blog was set up in Aug 2006. This blog was not meant to be controversial or popular (haha, perasan me!) but I did not make this blog as ‘widely-read’ as it was YOU who dropped by with your comments.

It has always been about sharing :) and I most certainly tried to share as much about myself and my thoughts as I possibly can.

For those who have never left a comment (especially if you are some Malaysian banker in New York who is scared to subscribe to Mkini who reads my blog to get scoops) and silent readers …. please drop a note. I would appreciate if you could share something about yourself too :)

I hope to be back soon. Need to recharge batteries :)

Hugs,
Polytikus x

We should be depressed and moody seeing all the clamoring for prestige and power amongst the Oppositions whose trust some have placed. Just ignore the bickering and the garrulousness; realize that the power to change and command respect is still in our hands. We shouldn’t place blind faith on sweet talkers or politicians (including activists and bloggers) because when they don’t perform, we just need to vote them out again. The next best thing is for BN to change quickly and becomes more relevant and proactive; after all, we may need them to monitor DAP-PKR-PAS sooner than we like. In the meantime, I think we should get back to our normal routines. How about some food review?

Oh yes…one more thing to add. I really appreciate and sincerely admire your silence when almost everyone else is giving opinion and advise. Like we need them lor. :) Cheer. If you drink, get a beer on me. Peace, goodwill and quietness are what all of us need now.

anyone who takes the road less travelled (like you) will come to this point at various times in your journey.

let me give you a bunch of positive strokes::

    1. You write extremely well
    2. You have an excellent grasp of what’s going on
    3. You are original in your opinion pieces
    4. You have very good discipline in updating your blog
    5. You are quirky (and I mean this in the nicest way possible)
    6. You are a wonderful person of good character (i say this based on how you’ve weathered the storms in your life)
    7. You will be back with gusto (once you’ve had sufficient “ME” time)

    Take care and G-d bless!

I have commented before but can I comment again!

I suppose it’s a crash after the climax :) But if there’s anyone that deserves a timeout it would be you. Been loving your articles both “on” and “off” the record.

I’m actually finding myself more optimistic about life in general after the GE. My faith in humanity has been restored.

    Well, recharge Ms. Soon.

At the meantime, this Whispering9 has been roaming about using another nick “goldscreen”, sniping at people. Let me tell u something with your rude mouth, nobody needs you to be an advisors. (I only say that for your arrogance).

    Don’t act like a gent, coz u ain’t 1,

I usually ignore rude and wild accusation but since you are obviously someone I knew in bloggosphere, I did a thorough search on Goldenscreen nick and the IP addresses. Let me put this straight to you, “Goldenscreen is not Whispering9. I don’t have another nick or handle.” Doesn’t matter if you believe me or not. Most of your encounters with Goldenscreen were in Harris’s Blog. I hardly frequent Harris. Sorry PT, since you let #9 comment through, I have to at least respond. This will be my last comment on this matter, no matter what will be said later. Cheer. :)

  18. # 18 silentreader Says:

    Hi polytikus,

I’m one of those silent readers out there who has been silently reading through blogs diligently to get to the truth of the political landscape in Malaysia. Your excellent work and effort have definitely helped to enlighten many Malaysians without a means to the truth. Never had I in my life experience such exuberance when reading news, especially on the night when the political tsunami hit Malaysia. Thank you too for giving your 110% for the love of the country. Rest well, for the journey is still long.

    Cheers~

    Are you Nat’s Li Tsin?

Hope all’s well with both of you, see that jelas will also NOT be so jelas for a few days.

Must be the spent energy syndrome of helping the people/the coalition to garner such a fantastic victory

Treasure what you have - it’s hard to find two like minded spirits to become a couple.

    Take care

I hope both Nat and you are fine. I have been reading both your blogs for ages and really appreciate the good work you both are doing.I am commenting for the very first time as I sense that both of you are tired and your spirits may be a bit low so I just want to say keep strong and you will overcome whatever you are going through now.So take a rest for now and I hope you will come back refreshed and ready to take on the world again. Nat and you are such fine people and I pray that everything will work out in the end.
