squeak. speak. roar!

. . . on what divides and unites the nation.

Snippets (II)

#1. I’ve had dinner with Saiful before (where Khairy was sitting a couple of tables away no less in Michelangelo’s in Pavilion, KL). But sorrylah I did not speak to him or even know who he was.

#2. I agree with A M Ubaidah about letting the whole ‘is Anwar a sodomite’ mystery finally surfacing all over again. I think as much as we’re skeptics, all of us are secretly curious as to whether this is true or not. To quote him:

Now the question has raised its ugly head again. However, whilst others may be unhappy or indeed disgusted that another charge of sodomy against Anwar has arisen, I am actually glad, as this is the opportunity for the nation to fully address this issue, rather than leaving it in our sub-conscious or isolated as the butt of many jokes at UMNO events.

#3. I guess if people want to take it to the streets they can do so in Padang Timur near Amcorp in PJ (near where I live, eeeps!) this weekend. If it becomes a protest against the petrol hike AND against Anwar’s possible persecution - then we might just see the one million people (ambitious!) present. I have had my primary school sports day there for many years, it will not take one million people. lol. But good luck to those who plan to attend.

#4. I’m just sending warmest wishes and strength to Anwar’s family. Suddenly old thoughts and memories of how my secondary school was reacting to reformasi back in 1998 because Izzah was caught in the middle of everything :( I hope she got my text.

All else, Monday whoopeedo! :)

Nostradamus Quatrains on “Wag the Dog”

In the month named of a Roman King
The year of great games played by Greeks
Malaysie, a land where politikus battle
“Wag the Dog” the game is played

    A man defamed twice over
    Seeking restitution with Ottoman Kings
A plot being hatched as night awaits
Watch in trepidation by the man defamed

People in Malaysie cry in vain
    Great turbulence and strife engulf
Lost is the fable of Mongolian assasins
Forgotten is the hatred of black oil curse

Men in power rule with joy
For winners, gold and lust awaits
Lost are the tales of greed and arrogance
Forgotten are the tales of men in chains

Little Napoleon kings jump in joy
For keeping the turf and rule once more
But alas, such is the game being played
The time to repent is so in vain

Stomach empty, spirit rise in men
Seeking justice for those in pain
A man of honor they seek within
To play a game of which to gain

Across the land, the people rose
Silence and patience is the game being played
Within the halls and corridors of fame
Man of honor win the game

As much as I am curious too, I don’t think the truth will surface at all. Somehow I do have a hunch that he like younger guys - if the 10% theory to be taken into account.

But quoting a staunch catholic friend of mine: Anwar would have been leader of this country should God have wanted him to. Which to me, make some sense. He has it all but why won’t he already?

    ANWAR THE GREAT BOLLYWOOD ACTOR!

One interesting outcome from this latest ‘bontot’ event is the cleverness of Anwar in diverting the criminal case against him. Anwar is known for his dramatisation of events, if he wants something or trying to get out of the mud. Another round of blaming the government i.e. police, AG, UMNO, BN, DPM, PM, etc for his crime against nature.

Remember the Baling case during his student days? Or the last trial - remember the arsenic poisoning? Remember the complaint about his back pain? Remember the dog collar that always stuck on his neck when he went to courts? Remember he moved about on wheel chair? Now no back pain or neck pain! He was cured as soon as he was released from jail!

Now the truth has come out, he went to the Turkish Embassy uninvited said the Turkish Ambassador. He just deposited himself there to get international attention. He got many friends outside Malaysia, who will believe him and make a strong outcry that his crime was fabricated. That’s what Anwar wants.

By the way, who wants him killed? If that is the case, he should have been assassinated a long time ago! Even before the opposition could win many state governments in the last elections. Anwar is best described as the great Hindustani or Bollywood actor. Pity his wife Azizah, she has to defend Anwar because he is her husband although she knows Anwar inside out.

BN didn’t expect the tsunami to fall on them, so they didn’t need a reason to terminate then :)

Btw Li Tsin, I was at urbanscapes too. Didn’t catch you there. Was mostly at the acoustic side and the marketplace. Super hot hot hot!!!

What if it all is true..beyond all political conspiracy…politics is becoming a very good defense even when a person is guilty. As if politicians cant do any wrong.

What if its true? think of the real victim? Many anti BN people are reacting like how UMNO re-acted during the Tambi Chik saga. The people of justice and fairness must demonstrate it well and stand magnanimous of the BN.

Lets be fair.sexuality and sexual offenses are different. A persons sexuality is personal and it shouldn’t become a tool of political assasination. I dont think a person’s personal sexuality should come into his/her political picture.

I hope the debate will move into distinguishing sexuality from public life and we create a situation of politics is about merit of service and protection of our rights and freedom.

The facts are as follows. Young strapping man of 23 alleges, in effect, rape by a man with a seriously bad back of close to 60 (I am not sure of his age). I would think that a man of 60 (with a bad back) would have it hard to rape a lady of 23, let alone a man of 23. This is something that begs the question.

The second point is more a rhetorical one: the evidence is insurmountable. Under BN, the average Malaysian (meaning myself) has felt sodomised (in the metaphorical sense) on more than one occasion. If Anwar’s sexual preference really is relevant and he is bisexual (and I am not saying that he is) then perhaps, just perhaps, him engaging in ‘unnatural sex’ (which technically most Malaysians indulge in anyway) with a couple of Malaysians every year (rape not included), would possibly be better than the ritual sodomy that the BN government partakes in at the expense of the rakyat year in and year out. This is, of course, subject to the caveat that if Pakatan does come to power, it does not descend to the depths to which the BN has over the past 50 years.

Sorry to say this, but such ‘curiosity’ of yours and Ubaidah’s is misplaced and unfair to Anwar, esp. ten years. Anyone who followed the events in the court room of 1998 would be able to tell it was a clear-cut conspiracy of Dr M, to the shame of the nation and Malaysian police and judiciary.

Such curiosity should have never arisen. Like Charlotte Robinson pointed out, with Anwar ten years older, having chronic back pain, and fully occupied with changing the federal government, only the brainless could have thought of such plot, again.
