Crossfire.
Oh the thrills of being a journalist - getting caught in the thick of things and all. Reminds me why I love this job so much :)
It has been a tiring few days. More so in light of the salvo between Anwar and Najib. Just look at how much these two fellas have in common! :
Both are accusing each other for making malicious statement to divert the public’s attention on 1) Anwar’s alleged sodomy on Saiful and 2) oil hike, electricity hike, by election, crossovers, economic mismanagement, turmoil in Umno.
Both are allegedly sodomites 1) Anwar with Saiful; 2) Najib with Altantuya
Both say they have nothing to fear, they have the truth.
Both are accusing each other for being desperate to spreading such allegations
Both deny sexual relations with the alleged liwat-ee 1) Saiful and 2) Altantuya
Both are still smiling with their wives by their side.
Both are going ALL OUT to kill each other off be it with evidence or with intimidation.
Both have their entire political futures hanging on the string because of this very scandal.
If they weren’t enemies, they’d be best mates, yo :)
…
As for me. I have been talking to too many people and I know too much. So much so, I am worried for my safety. Hence I’m going to be away this weekend for a much needed rest and relax and recharge trip to Tioman Island :) (I am kidding about knowing too much btw). But personally, I’ve been overwhelmed by all this politicking! And it is most annoying that the media becomes this tool for them to play around with. I sure feel journalists have been buttfucked left, right and centre! It is Tahun Meliwat Malaysia, seriously.
For those attending the protest this Sunday, please note it has been changed to Kelana Jaya stadium!! Keep safe everybody. I have been informed that the police has done their survey and are most likely closing off entry points from both ends of the LDP. LRT services are expected to shut down too.
Anyway, I will be back soon, I promise. I don’t blog about the juicy stuff I know anyway. That, I will do over tea :) Anybody?
:)

It’s frustrating to know that both are using the very resource that rakyat consider as a tool of information. and it’s more frustrating to realize that half of what they are saying are all part of political tactics.
So people, instead of adding the noise, we should just keep quiet and wait for the police to finish up their investigation.

come back safe.. :)

We are probably the only citizens that can see the needle across the ocean but fail to notice the elephant or monkey in front of us. Nowadays, everyone seems to know just too much about nothing (no pun intended for you lah). Have a nice trip…won’t advice the speed boat ride to Tioman. Your kidney or liver might drop off from the hard hitting speed bumps.

Classic example of doublethink
From the wiki on doublethink:
“Doublethink is the act of simultaneously accepting two mutually contradictory beliefs. It is an integral concept of George Orwell’s dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four.”
“The power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them . . . . To tell deliberate lies while genuinely believing in them, to forget any fact that has become inconvenient, and then, when it becomes necessary again, to draw it back from oblivion for just so long as it is needed, to deny the existence of objective reality and all the while to take account of the reality which one denies — all this is indispensably necessary. Even in using the word doublethink it is necessary to exercise doublethink. For by using the word one admits that one is tampering with reality; by a fresh act of doublethink one erases this knowledge; and so on indefinitely, with the lie always one leap ahead of the truth.”
Reality is sometimes stranger than fiction.

We are living in a surrealistic matrix!
Shades of 1984. Doublethink is the name of the game, don’t you think?(sic)

Ho ho! Tahun Meliwat Malaysia, you should go trade-mark it quick. Ingenious you. :-)
I cannot agree with your comparison between Najib and Anwar. The former, by the conduct of the latest twist to Bala’s SD, is such a substandard strategy player. Imagine telling the whole world “don’t read those points, they are not true, I am deleting them now”. I wonder what kind of brain he has. A Chinese idiom 此地无银三百俩 says it all (apologies to those who cannot read Chinese).
Thanks to the stupidity, I have managed to produce the ‘Official’ summary of key points on Najib’s relationship with Altantuya. :-)

Miss Tikus,
I think you should take up diving and try it while you are in Tioman. Hearing your own breathing(like DarthVader) and watching colorful fishes and corals in blue turquoise water is very soothing. A word of warning, Beware it can be ADDICTIVE, and can turn you into a SCUBAHOLIC!!!
Enjoy your holiday in Tioman and write us a report.
ps. DONT STOP BLOGGING, I LOVE YOUR BLOG (i’m not yelling just want to emphasize)
