Unprecedented.
I did TWO unprecedented things today. Count ‘em! lol.
Unprecedented event #1
I went for a free back massage at True Spa. I have no clue as to who gave them my name and number but I thought it would be fun to try out to see if there are any good massages there. Darwin knows I need some pampering once in a while.
I got there on time at Jaya 33 for my appointment. I was led to a private room, told to take my kit off and lie faced down. The next 30 minutes - I swear - was pure agony. I was kneaded and rubbed and “massaged” and pinched and all sorts. After 30 minutes, I was SORE. And it I mean sore in a bad way. Sore as in ’still fucking sore 9 hours later’ sore.
The sales person told me that pain is good. And real Thai massage is rough and that’s what I got. Look bro, a spa is suppose to be relaxing and I sure wasn’t. In fact, he told me that. “It’s painful because your muscles are stressed and the pain means your blood is flowing”. I’m consulting my dad and sis for their medical advice. lol. I’ve been to massages in Cambodia and Phuket and it was relaxing in the truest sense. I don’t care if pain = good for me cos pain = grumpy me!
I feel so bruised now. My shoulder blades hurt most. Bottom line is, I’m definitely not going back for any of their packages. Sales dude told me its RM899 for the membership. I can do so many hundred things more with my hard earned dosh. I’d like to think I’m not THAT stress to need massages or THAT ugly to need facials eh? :)
True Spa’s stress-relieving back massage. Only for the rich, stressed, brave or sadomasochistic. lol. The place is not bad though and I gave some names of friends to them to pass the love on. I hope they have better luck than I!
Unprecedented event #2
I went for a photoshoot for a magazine that I don’t even read! lol.I admitlah, I don’t read magazines save for Time or Newsweek or the occasional Cleo’s 50 Most Eligible Bachelor edition. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was geared to have fun really! Who says I can’t be girly?? lol.
Anyway, it’s a shoot for Style: magazine. I’m not sure how much info I can divulge as to what its about since it’s for an article in August. Oh well. But I had so much fun! Mr Make Up Derek put a cake on my face that I didn’t even recognise myself when he finished. He ordered Mr Hairstylist John to make my hair ‘keng’. It was quite ‘keng’ no doubt. Writer Siew Ching was very warm and super nice. lol. I got into a dress then in front of the camera - and did my thang, baby. I put all the crap I learned from America’s Next Top Model to good use! Heh.
Shooting took only 10 minutes but hair and make was about 15 times more! But still, fun and games :) Tricia was there before us and the D+J team turned her in a mega babe!! Too bad I couldn’t grab my camera in time to take a picture of her but we’ll see her all dolled up in August. Whee!
However, I did get to take a picture of Meesh when both of us were done with the shoot. Woot woot!:)

Specs are sexy, okay?? :)

I’ve never had so much make up on before and I was ever so excited with these!

Fake lashes!!!
Oh well. I had to wash my hair twice to get rid of all the stuff they put in there. As for my face, I think I still have waterproof eyeliner on :P Anyway, back to normal life and routine tomorrow. lol.
